Biography
Vickers was born on the Nass River on Greenville, raised in Kitkatla, Hazelton, British Columbia, and Victoria, B.C. His father was a Tsimshian fisherman with Haida and Heiltsuk ancestry. His mother was a schoolteacher whose parents had emigrated from England. His grandfather was a Kitkatla canoe-carver. His distinctive style reflects his mixed heritage. He created VisionQuest, a non-profit organization that helps individuals with addictive personalities.
